The ministry released a film that gets worldwide attention.
July 23, 2016Leader turns against Torben and the ministry
A leader in the ministry turns against TLR and Torben. He gets terminated from his position.
A friend says: “He will take revenge”
This man will continue over the next years to viciously attack the ministry.
october 28, 2016Attack on ministry websites
Unknown individual with access to password list logs in to various websites of the ministry and deletes all the contents.
2016-2017Government agencies visit
Various government agencies show up for inspection with every time the same story: they got a report that something is wrong.
June 2, 2017Producer contacts Torben for a TV program
Danish production company asks Torben to create a program about his life and ministry. Torben said yes to this. They agreed that Torben would be followed for a year by a film crew.
July 7, 2018Municipality visits: child abuse accusations
The Sondergaard family receives an unannounced visit from the municipality because they received a report that there was abuse of children going on their home. Authorities find no issues and leave.
October 17, 2018Municipality visits again after another false report
The Sondergaard family receives another visit from the municipality. They demanded to speak to their children. A day later they called again and want to meet for another visit after concluding their daughter is ‘too thin’.
December 15, 2018“Torben, you will go to jail”
Torben receives an email stating he will be in jail soon. He recognizes the sender as a man affiliated with the person he fired in 2016.
At the same time, social media accounts that can be linked to same person share a disturbing video about ‘child abuse’ that they say is going on in Torben’s ministry.
January 2, 2019First episode of God's Best Children airs
The program puts Torben and his ministry in a very bad light. Besides Torben’s ministry the story of a pastor-turned-sex-offender is shared.
Torben recognizes that his former employee and his team are behind the documentary.
January 4, 2019Torben files a complaint at Danish press council
Torben files complaint at the Danish press council. He also send a complaint to TV2, the government funded channel that airs the program and demands they halt airing the remaining two episodes.
January 9, 2019Second episode airs; bill is submitted to Danish parliament
The second episode of God’s Best Children makes the case that ‘casting out of demons’ on children or in the presence of children is a form of psychological violence and abuse. It uses misleading footage to make that case.
The same day, bill L139 is submitted to the Danish parlemaint. It proposes to criminalize ‘psychological violence’ with a fine or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
The episode triggers a national debate.
January 16, 2019Last episode airs
This episode is about how people in radical Christian environments are giving advice on how to deal with prescribed medicine.
This episode introduces several ‘witnesses’ that are all affiliated to the former staff member that was fired in 2016. They give a gross misrepresentation of Torben’s life and ministry.
It also includes hidden camera footage that was taken without permission. The footage was captured and edited in a deceitful way to put words in Torben’s mouth
It also shows a man that ….. FRANK… Maybe some about him and what he do here?.
The effects of these evil episodes are huge. It causes a public outrage and makes it impossible for Torben to continue his ministry in Denmark.
January 19, 2019Torben is mentioned in Danish parliament
During the treatment of bill L139 -an ammendment to the family law that criminalizes ‘psychological abuse’ - Mads Fuglede of the Venstre party refers to Torben in his speech.
January 26, 2019Torben arrives in the USA
Torben and family arrive for a mission trip in the USA. They are happy to leave Denmark for some time in this turbulent season where they are on TV and in newspapers in Denmark almost every day.
They will be able to stay for 90 days under the visa waiver program.
March 13, 2019Torben’s Visa waiver is silently canceled
The visa waiver that allows Torben and his family to stay in the USA is silently canceled.
Torben: “I was prompted by the Spirit to look at the status of my visa waiver and found out that it was canceled.”
In response, Torben contacted legal and immigration experts. When they evaluated his case they suggested it would be best to file for asylum.
March 26, 2019Bill passes in Danish parliament
While Torben is still in the USA, the amendment to the family law comes into effect making it possible to punish ‘pshychological abuse’.
The past weeks, Torben has been (Something dont look right here with the text… The past weeks… has been…..) publicly debated in many news programs and talk shows and the public opinion turned against him.
March 27, 2019Torben is reported to USA Homeland Security by citizen from Denmark
ICE Homeland Security Investigations office receives information claiming that Sondergaard is defrauding the sick/elderly and abusing children.
Torben is not made aware of this.
April 19, 2019Asylum application submitted
Torben submits a sworn affidavit requesting for asylum in the U.S.
April 22, 2019Homeland Security acknowledged receipt
DHS sends an I-797 form acknowledging the receipt of the asylum application.
April 25, 201990 days visa waiver period ends
On this date Torben was supposed to out of the country.
Since he has started an asylum procedure, he is not overstaying his visa, something Torben falsly would be accused for later in time.
June 2020Human Trafficking allegation
An individual falsely claims Torben is involved in human trafficking.
Torben is not made aware of this. This information comes to the surface during his prison time in 2022.
april 2023 False tip claiming Torben was smuggling weapons across state lines
FBI’s National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) receives a false tip claiming that Torben was smuggling weapons across state lines.
Torben is not made aware of this.
June 30, 2023Torben is arrested
On June 30, 2022 Torben was asked to attend an interview with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to “discuss his immigration status” in Orlando.
During this interview he was handcuffed and detained by.
The ICE officer in charge, Mr. Edgardo Centeno, told Torben they had recieved a tip he was involved in ‘smuggling weapon between USA and Mexico’.
August 2023Officer Edgardo Centeno befriends Youtuber Paul
Edgardo illegally shares confidential information about Torben’s case with Paul, a former student of Torben’s bible school. He also advices Paul to file a false complaint against Torben using the exact words ‘human trafficking’.
Later investigations would reveal that Edgardo is carrying out a personal agenda against Torben.
Aug 6, 2022Bond is denied
Torben is denied to be released on bond. Later investigations reveal that officer Centeno has categorized Torben as a ‘threat to national security’ making it impossible for him to be released on a bond.
Officer Centeno would never explain what this is based on. He would simply state that he cannot comment on national security matters.
December 17, 2023Asylum denied
In a ruling full of factual errors, Torben’s asylum request is denied.
Torben’s attorneys immediately file an appeal.

May 16, 2023Appeal denied
The appeal is denied and the case is taken to the federal court.
This case is still ongoing.
July 26, 2023Congressman: ‘Torben is persecuted' by this administration’
Congressman Clay Higgins adds a letter to the congressional record about Torben’s case. He states that Torben is being persecuted, they belive becouse he is a evangelical christian.
August 17, 2023Torben is deported to Denmark
After 412 days in prison. Torben was escorted by two US Immigration officers all way to Denmark.
The asylum case is still ongoing.

November 2019Torben gets work permit
Torben receives a work permit. It allows him to be employed by the ministry The Last Reformation Inc. and receives a salary through that organization.
From here Torben works, pays he taxes and coninues keeping all the rules stadig legal in the county thinking all is good.
