“The Kingdom Book” I Wrote in Jail

I have been very excited in the last few days as I have started working on “THE KINGDOM BOOK” that I wrote in jail.

Before, I shared about the testimony book, which I also wrote in jail, called "412 Days" (See post here).

Having finished going through the "412 Days" book and having it with the editor for review, I could start working on the other book I wrote there. As I mentioned, I am also very excited about this one.

The main reason God sent me to jail. Yes, the enemy was behind it, but it does not mean God did not have a hand in this. I received a strong prophetic word a month after I arrived there, saying that who I was before was not enough for what God needed me to be in this next season. So, God needed to do a work in my life. And I can testify that He did that in many areas. However, one significant change was with the revelation of the kingdom of God.

We have been preaching a half gospel in many ways, or I can say I have been. Like many others, I have been preaching Christ the King without the right focus on the kingdom. But what is a king without a kingdom or a kingdom without a king?

We have been preaching a gospel so focused on the New Testament that we lack an understanding of the bigger picture.

Let me share a little from the introduction to THE KINGDOM BOOK to show you how this book came to be. I have before in the chapter talked about the revival I saw in jail and how many lives suddenly got changed. Because of that, I started to do many teachings I had never done before.

Here you can read a little from my book:

“I went back to Genesis, and over the next month and a half, I went from Genesis to Revelation, teaching them Christ and the gospel of the Kingdom, and it truly set them free. Not only for them but also for me. I saw things I’ve never seen before. Things about our faith, about the gospel, about our inheritance. The gospel of the Kingdom, the coming of Christ. Yes, Revelation opened up like never before, and it was truly a very special time for me. Something I have never experienced before.

One day after finishing going through the bible with them, and seeing many things I’ve never experienced before, something happened. I have also been praying for the church every day in here, and my prayer was often that God must restore the gospel back to the church, as the word God spoke, but also something that has been in me for years. “God, we need the gospel to be restored back to the church.”

But then something happened. It was Sunday, February 19th, and God spoke very clearly. I was praying for the gospel to be restored back to the church. The gospel. God, we need the gospel. And as I prayed, it was like, God, we need “THIS GOSPEL……. THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM” to be restored back to the church.

Woah! It was not “just” the gospel of Christ, but THE gospel of THE KINGDOM. What is a king without his kingdom and a kingdom without the king? And in that moment, God said, “THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM.” I understood many things and knew I would never be the same again and see this in the same way.”

Yes, this was a little from my Kingdom book, as I call it. I needed this time in jail, away from everything, so God, in His wisdom, could reveal the whole gospel to me in a new way.

This book is special in so many ways, as I take you on a journey through the Bible, revealing Christ all the way through and how it all points forward to the day of the Lord when He will return, judge the nations, and set up His kingdom here on earth as the Son of David.

Some of the chapters in the book include:

Chapter 1 The Story Behind This Book
Chapter 2 Scriptures
Chapter 3 His Story – Our History
Chapter 4 Our Timeline
Chapter 5 Garden of Eden
Chapter 6 Abraham Our Father
Chapter 7 Called Out
Chapter 8 Exodus

So you see, it is a journey where we see the gospel all the way and end up with:

Chapter 23 Man of Lawlessness
Chapter 24 One Taken an
Chapter 26 New Heaven & New Earth

Like the end of Chapter 8 called Exodus where I write this:

“The story of Exodus is the birth of Israel as a nation. They are no longer slaves, but free. Not just a family but a nation. That is their beginning. It is the first day, in the first month, in the first year for them. The beginning.

And this is a very clear picture of the birth of the Church. When we are saved out of the slavery of this world, it is for us the first day, in the first month, of the first year. I clearly remember the 5th of April 1995 when I started the first day of my new life. And what a journey it has been. A journey where I have also needed to walk through the wilderness again and again, as I am right now, sitting here locked up in a small jail, not knowing what will happen to me. But the story in Exodus has given me so much strength, and I see so many things in the story that point to us today, yes, to my life here.

So, let's learn from it. Knowing this story helps you to understand the gospel that is now saving us, and what a journey this truly is.

So, it goes like this:

Old Testament
• Obey Moses
• Get the yeast out of the house
• But your faith in the blood of the Lamb
• Baptism into Moses crossing the Red Sea, destroying the enemies
• Walking by the Pillar of Fire and the cloud
• Being baptized into the cloud and walking when it moves
• Keeping the Passover (with the blood of the lamb) as a remembrance of the Exodus, how God saved them out of the slavery of Egypt
• Walking toward the Promised Land, which was what God saved them to

New Testament

• Obey Jesus
• Repent and get sin out of your life (churches)
• Put your faith in the blood of Jesus, our Passover Lamb
• Be baptized into Christ in the water, destroying the old life of sin and death
• Be baptized in the Spirit and walk after the Spirit
• Keeping our Passover, communion, (by the blood of Jesus) in remembrance of Him and how He saved us from a life of slavery to sin
• Walking toward the Promised Land, our Heavenly country, Heavenly Jerusalem, which was what God saved us to.”

Yes. This was a little from the end of chapter 8, called Exodus, where we clearly see the gospel of Christ and how this is a clear picture of how we today are being saved from this evil age and have started a journey where the end goal is the promised land. For us, it is the new heaven and earth where the heavenly Jerusalem will come down, and finally, we will be home where we belong.

Yes. I have so much more to say about this. But more about that when this book comes out.

Where the "412 Days" book is mostly my testimony from my life, “The Kingdom” is mostly teaching.
You need to know that it is very important when you suffer for Christ or are tempted to not just say, "But Torben experienced this and this." No. As important as testimonies are, faith comes from hearing the word of God, and there is only one thing we can say that truly matters, “It is written.”

Therefore, I am excited for this book. Yes, I am excited about both books, and hopefully, there will be only a few months before the first one is released.

You can help get both books out on this link where I also share more about the first book "412 Days."

To end this, I believe it will soon be the end of this present evil age. And that can only mean that we will see THIS GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM being preached to the end of the world, as Jesus says. For until this happens, the end will not come.

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

And this gospel He is talking about, the gospel of the KINGDOM, is what this book is about. Something that is not being preached in many places right now.

More about this later.

God bless you
